Projects
IND-E - Decarbonization and electrification potential in German industry - data, actors and models

Project description
The aim of the project is to strengthen energy system analysis in the field of industrial modeling, taking into
account actor-specific factors influencing defossilization as well as political framework conditions. Five
models with different analysis foci are used (overall system Germany, European electricity market, local energy systems - individual industries, individual investment decisions, electricity market and network expansion). The analysis of the model results and the knowledge gained from them are summarized and synthesized to create a multidimensional basis for developing industry defossilization strategies.
